Timeshare transfer nightmare - Velas Vallartas/Global Resorts

We have been trying to transfer a timeshare, through the offer and process prescribed by Velas Vallartas. The transfer process began in October 2014. It is now September 2015. We paid $1451.48, which included the entire 2015 annual dues for our timeshare (only $648). The rest was a transfer fee and a "convenience fee". (ha!). Each quarter in 2015 the fees weren't paid by Global Resorts, and I got sent to collections, resulting in credit issues for me. Each time I needed to call and email multiple times, and each time they only paid that quarter's dues. They are absolutely not a firm who calls back without severe threats. Most calls and emails go unanswered. I've never once been able to speak to a supervisor or manager. It's as if they don't exist there. It turns out Global Resorts no longer works with Velas Vallartas (according to them), and is currently unable to find someone to transfer our timeshare to. However in the contract we signed with Velas, there was no "contingency" for this; it was a firm agreement. I will update once more happens but I warn everyone NOT TO ACCEPT THE TIMESHARE TRANSFER OFFER at Velas Vallartas. It does not work and you, the buyer, are subject to credit issues and loss of funds. If they resolve this, I will post again to modify this review.
